secretagentmole
He looked as surprised as heck when I said "Hello Mervyn!" it was my old shore fishing buddy from back when I was a teenager, have not seen or heard from him in 28 years! fortune
It's a wonder that either of you recognised one another. I've had both sides of this. Three people that I hadn't seen for over twenty years knew me but I hadn't got a clue who they were. And someone came up to me chatting away like we were good friends and I hadn't got a clue who he was. It turned out that he thought that I was someone else that this bloke knew. talk about awkward. Still I must have retained some of my yout full good looks.
TONY R
I was taking the trolley back at asda the other week, this old woman came up to me was talking ten to the dozen, mentioned a cart load of names i recognised from s\chool 40+ years ago was telling me who had done this who had done that, shook my hand said her good wishes and was off. Gets back to the car wife said who was that old lady you were talking to,. Not got a clue i said, must have been somebody i went to school with, or her mother or her grandmother. Getting old or what.?
fortune
Has anyone else noticed that the girls who were really pretty at school and all the boys wanted to get around suddenly looked really rough and old ( Bolted to seed) when a few years went by but some of the plain jane types did the reverse and looked and dressed fantastic a few years later. And you look at some and think where were all these hiding when I was the right age. Still looks aren't everything and there is many a pigs ear hiding under a silk glove. and bad eggs that don't smell when glossed with silk perfume
Harnser
One of the strangest meetings I had was when I was flying back from Toronto and the person in the seat next to me was an old school chum I hadn't seen for years . We had a wonderful Mardle on the way home and caught up with all the news . The best and fastest flight I have ever had . Harnser

Harnser It could have been very awkward if he had been an absolute pig and bully to you at school. you would have had to ask to be moved elsewhere. or taken up a permanent seat in the lavy. fenboy
I bet he is mighty chuffed if the reason you did not see him for 28 years was that he was trying to avoid you
jayDT10
I bet he is mighty chuffed if the reason you did not see him for 28 years was that he was trying to avoid you saying that , there is a thread on world sea fishing forum about someone who's just moved next to a bloke who he'd been trying to avoid for quite some time.
