Harry136
For £800, can't go wrong with a S/H Benelli M2.
Mallyshag
What about Mossberg? Been looking around and they seem to be hardly ever mentioned...
Danger-Mouse
What about Mossberg? Been looking around and they seem to be hardly ever mentioned... They seem to be quite popular with the practical guys. I`ve only had a few shots with one so couldn`t really comment.

I looked into them when buying my first MP153. They didn't offer they versatility of the Baikal (from 2.75 inch to 3.5 inch cartridge capability. ) One model functioned best with 3 and 3.5 inch wildfowling loads, while another was for clay and 3 inch loads. Ian North Wales
Is fit really that important any more? Most new autos come with shim kits and can be made to fit almost anyone. I would look at what you will use it for and then price, so if you just want a cheap knock about gun you don't really want to spend much but on the other hand if it's going to be your main gun that will see a lot of action you might want to pay a bit more. Some guns come with very good warrantys and I'd go for something like this if it's going to get a lot of use
Rexcernui
I have a remington 11-87 and it's never failed me. Love it. I also have a hatsan pump action synthetic for the pigeons. Both guns are keepers will never get rid of either of them . Hatsan cost 180 remmy I swapped for a baikal.

I find the Winchester SX3 wouldn't fit no mater how I adjusted it. The Armsan A612 won't I think it's down to very slim small stocks on some models.
