oowee
There are some great characters in Parliament. When people get into a position of power some sort of transformation occurs. Or is it that the role attracts certain characters that makes the place so fascinating. Love them or hate them its hard not to admire what they go through and what they put up with. Dennis Skinner yesterday getting removed from the house made me smile. A larger than life Character. I once had the privilege of dinner with Tony Benn who waxed lyrical of meetings with some of the worlds greatest leaders and his knowledge, but maybe somewhat jaundiced view, of world affairs was intriguing. Lloyd90
The look of smugness and arrogance on Cameron's face as Skinner shouts made me very uneasy!

Lord Geordie
I admire him standing by what he said, and refusing to take back the comment! But I seriously think no matter how uncomfortable the question! It SHOULD be answered there and then! Not giving someone a few days with a PR guru to concoct a fabricated answer! Lord Geordie
The way these so called leaders conduct themselves in Parliament is disgraceful, they act like school children slinging mud in a playground! If I was to behave like that in MY place of work! I would be dismissed on the spot. Must be nice to get an MPs salary when they are sat on their backsides in Westminster supping subsidised pints, and eating subsidised foods, when a whole workforce is out there earning a **** wage with no such privileges! Hands up how many are allowed to consume alcohol at work! Or even on a break? Personally I think they should pull the bar license from Westminster! I would also like to see all MPs breathalysed when they leave in their cars! Should put a cat among the pigeons! You could literally see Cameron squirm a little when Skinner drag up the subject of the house purchase! More digging please!
panoma1
Name calling is hardly what you would expect from an elected representative, especially when it lets the person aimed at avoid answering the questions he's asked! Parliamentary privilege also gives MP's a free hand to say in parliament anything they want to say without it having to be true and without having to prove it, so if Skinner was to say something slanderous in parliament he would not have to defend his comments anywhere let alone in a court of law, but if he said the same thing outside of parliament he may have to?.......that is not admirable it is cowardly! I don't know David Cameron but If the beast thinks Cameron is "dodgy" let him say it and explain why outside the protection of parliamentary privilege. I wouldn't swear to it but I heard that unlike any other public/government building smoking is not banned inside areas of The Houses of Parliament? also they have seven? subsidised restaurants, and their "own brand" rebranded spirits and cigars? Some years ago I was reservoir trout fishing and whilst packing up, was talking to another angler who was a well known MP when he opened his car boot he had several cases of subsidised "House of Parliament" labelled whisky which he was using to "tip" fishery staff! Can't imagine what for? Or what good that would do him? Lol
oowee
I once met Eddie George in the Bank of England it is the most stunning building with lots of ornate plaster work inside. Eddie was chain smoking throughout and the whole room was full of smoke unbelievable.
clakk
Nothing has changed and never will,in the Roman senate contempt for the plebs was the norm and the tories and liebour carry this tradition on today.Cameron with has offshore tax haven,s and the likes of Watson the deputy liebour leader selling the "second"home we bought on "his" expense,s and not paying any capital gains tax on it .Theyre all in the Trough upto their bent necks.Rules and taxes only apply to the man in the street daring to better himself. The millionaire toffs and the champagne socialists are excused as they,re special and so dont have to follow the rules they decide for us to follow. Dr D
It's not their tax returns I want to see. It's their partners, wives and husbands! They must think we were all born yesterday.
