steve_b_wales
I'm looking for a free program that I can use to put files/photo's/documents onto a CD/DVD. What's the best to use?

Chukar
If it's just files/photo's/documents and you want it work on PC/laptop then as mentioned above, windows has built in software. Just copy them to your CD/DVD as you do with a normal folder and then burn. However if you want to be able to show for example photos on a CD/DVD player, you need something like Nero. figgy
Just copy send the files to the dvd cd drive and click burn. If photos are JPEG most players pick this up and just play them.

ChAoS
You could always get some DVD-RAM disks. (However, you'd have to make sure that the destination device can read them.) Regards, Mark.
steve_b_wales
Thanks for all the replies. I've got an old Nero program on my computer. It's got compatibility issues with other installed programs, but I'll try it. I have another program that can copy a DVD/CD to another, but it doesn't do files etc.
hedge
Any particular reason why you are needing to transfer to CD/DVD? What are you transferring? What version of Windows you got?

hedge
If you stick a CD or DVD into your CD drive, you should be able to literally `drag and drop` the files. The other option is to use a USB stick as that is effectively a little quicker/easier. Any particular reason why you want to use a CD/DVD rather than USB?
