BrowningDJC
Aviva has always been the cheapest for all my pick ups, got my when I was 21. Currently insure my 15 reg l200 for £570 a year and I'm 26. Birmingham postcode isn't going to help at all.
panoma1
Note her mum said it was cheaper with her as a named driver on the girls policy rather than if she was not on. I dont see the logic of how that works here but thats what she said, and again it suits them because the mother uses the truck too. . ^ This! Mitchiet123
Get one of your parents to put it in there name and you as a named driver??....or get a Jimmy if it's just for shooting....gan be a shed load of doe just for your fuel in one of those trucks try something abit less hefty bud! Nah the new NP300 quotes 44.9 mpg combined- on test drive I got 28mpg avg in stop start traffic and giving it some welly a couple of times. +1 at 22 I was driving a triumph herald it cost £150. Why start at the top and then moan about the cost? Fine with the cost of the truck its just insurers taking the mick. I can afford it I just don't like being taken the **** out of haha Why buy a brand new pick up? I was going to get a 09/10 plate l200/d max but working out the cost the way ive done it, its exactly the same price if not cheaper! It might be worth setting up a company and going down the business insurance route for any driver. Do you know how that works? I've got a ltd company set up for consulting services but not done business motor insurance before; do you just ask for a commercial policy? Thanks, Mitch Aviva has always been the cheapest for all my pick ups, got my when I was 21. Currently insure my 15 reg l200 for £570 a year and I'm 26. Birmingham postcode isn't going to help at all. That's not bad! I've heard it decreases massively once you're over 25? Im trying to figure out a way to put it under my parents address (also my registered business address) without it being classed as fraud- but struggling lol
Dave-G
My brother has a security patrol company. His small van insurance is about 3 times what a Fiesta type car with side rear side windows blocked out costs for SDP, and almost doubles for a driver under 25. triumphant59
Hi all, I'm really struggling here. I'm buying a new Nissan Navara NP300 pickup and been quoted from £2200 up to £9k+ for insurance. I'm 22 and been driving 4 years with no accidents or points etc. Obviously living in birmingham puts the price up, but does anyone have any tips on how to get a cheaper quote? I'm also curious as to whether there are any specialist insurance companies that cater for pickups or young people (or both combined!) I appreciate any advice you can give! Thanks, Mitch Try CLA insurance, contact details on website
BrowningDJC
To be honest mine hardly dropped after I hit 25.
Mitchiet123
Try CLA insurance, contact details on website For all that may be interested, cheapest I have had is £2700 so far. Even with specialist high risk insurers. Tried CLA and they came back with £864! And that's including anyone over 25 can drive the car fully comp without being named on the policy. Thanks to all! That is quite likely to be 'anyone over 25.... who is independently insured to drive another vehicle... Please check the small print before actually allowing someone to drive it for your own piece of mind: That was a standard feature of fully comprehensive insurance years ago - but policies have been stripped to the bone with all the compare prices sites. Vince Green
When my son passed his test the insurance company wanted £3,800 to add him as a named driver on his grandmother's Nissan Micra. Its hard for kids these days
