johnnythefox70
Penalty charge notices are not fines its just an invoice to pay (begging letter) so just ignore all correspondence with these dodgey companys if your unlucky enough to get one and they will eventually give up and go away simple! Dan7626
Hereford hoslital is scandalous, somehow the hospital car park is privately owned so none of the charges ever go back to the NHS. 3.50 per hour but even if you are over an hour by 5 minutes you have to stump up for a whole 2 hours. When we had our 2nd son recently the wife had to stay in for 5 days and the parking costs to go and see her every day were crippling. I'd happily pay the charge if even just a certain percentage went back into the system but it doesnt. Even the staff have to pay full whack, thats if they can even get a space. PAY to go to work,,,yer right... Pay to park at work. So that's what the majority of people have to do who don't have the luxury of car parking at their place of work. And if you want to park at my local railway station that's £1,500 per year in addition to the rail fare. Welcome to the real world. It's called commuting. My wife pays similar amounts taken directly from her pay, it would be more like £50 per month but they have a scheme where if they agree to car share with colleagues it's halved ! In twenty years we'll be asked to pay to park outside our houses if not the actual drive, mark my word.
bruno22rf
Just another form of tax - it's unbelievable that your charges increase with the duration of your stay when Hospital rarely run on time - only the English would stand for it. When I had my Shogun I never once paid to park - I would simply drive around the barrier or over the nearest curb onto the road..

Yes and here is the same but the commuters park in residential side streets to avoid the station car parking charges, our cul de sac is full by 7am. However I mustn't complain because that's what I would do too.
Vince Green
In twenty years we'll be asked to pay to park outside our houses. In the London Boroughs you have to do that now, its called a resident's parking permit and its typically £500 a year. It doesn't allow you to park anywhere in the Borough though, only in your zone. Zones go from AA to ZZ so your zone is often just your street. Paying for a permit doesn't guarantee you a space though. There are always more permits sold than spaces available That's part of the reason why people get so angry about all these foreign registered cars. The wardens just ignore them because they know its not worth putting a ticket on the car. So they park where they like for free.
