ditchman
the "rozzers" park their boat at Ardley dyke....they chased me a couple of times but their boat only does 8-10 knots...so i used to "tease" them then open up the 15hp and loose them on the bends tween cantley and reedham ferry............ ......wouldnt use the drum as a boat ...would have a go in a bathtub............... rodp
Malk.................................WHAT THE HECK IS THAT It was what you could call the prototype Range Rover,. One of Land Rover's attempts at making a comfortable Land Rover. Ditchy if you move on to big outboards you may want to bear this in mind. I had a Johnson V4 90hp and as usual was tinkering with it. It had a big prop on as the boat was as light as a feather and being young speed was of the essence I put it in a dustbin of water, as you did, and started it up, no problem there. However, I was looking over the bin checking for water flow from the pump and blipped the throttle ............ in gear I swear to god that engine emptied the dustbin FULL of water in a micro second, vertically What goes up must come down, and it doesn't care who's below Couldn't have got any wetter water skiing fully clothed
