I was tempted but decided it was better to use a regular mildot Hawke and note the distances on the fixed dots as you get more aim points on a std scope than the dedicated rimfire ones. oldypigeonpopper Posted June 21, 2016 Report Share Posted June 21, 2016 hello, i use the hawke vantage rimfire on my 455 .22 L/R a 4x12x50, it was zereod at 50mtrs on magnifification 12 as per instruction, 50 mtrs using a range finder, there is not much lee way between 50 and 75 but 100 plus it is important you can judge your range as best you can.
