billytheghillie
shimano have a good reputation for there service work, I sent one of mine to them and they sorted it, even returned the worn part, also was not expensive.

Muddy Funker
There's also loads of other options for baitrunner type reels now.I'm currently getting back into carp fishing and upgrading kit I've had since I was 13, I'm now 40!I got a pair of Okuma Longbow LB90 new for less than £50 on ebay, initial thoughts are I've had an absolute steal. No denying the reputation of shimano though, I remember when the Aero GT baitrunner first came out, I ended up with a pair of Aerlex 5000 as I couldn't afford the baitrunners! dazb1967
I've got a pair of the baitrunner D series use them for sea fishing from my kayak, they have been submerged and get very little cleaning and they still going strong, they're not cheap but I have tried all the cheap reels and they never seem to last
