mosa
Hello again. I had been offered 391 which has just fell through. . Quick question though. I have the chance of a 303 £275 but the guy said i was better off with a new hatsan escort semi what do you think as i get 3 yrs warranty with that £280. I think the beretta may have chokes that you hold on with some sort of collar on outside not sure. He said i would struggle to get parts for beretta is this true?B)?? cheers shaun
Oly
There are pro's and con's for both - have you tried them both? If not do so and see which you shoot best with.

I have just had a cheap semi drop to bits on me so would hate to get into the same position with the berreta although everyone wants me to go for a decent make

tuck1
I know nothing of the escort, however I had a 303 and it was excellent. Should never have let it go. That's the only help I can offer I'm afraid.

berettaman1
cheers for all your tips. what should the choke system be like on this model if its a 303 then the chokes are internal ( mobilchoke) if its a 301 or 302 then the chokes are held in place by an external collar which shows it is the early auto, if so i would not pay more than £220 for it and even then only if it was in excellent condition. He said i would struggle to get parts for beretta is this true???cheers shaun this guy is telling you a load of **** buy the second hand beretta for £275 rip his hand off forgret the turkish **** you can get spares for beretta's IF you ever need em that is
Oly
forgret the turkish ****you can get spares for beretta's IF you ever need em that is I wouldn't be quite so hasty in calling ALL escorts ****, I'm sure there have been a few problems (and I know you have made yours well known in the past Peter), but the VAST majority of escorts are still shooting well, straight and reliably! Spares aren't hard to find either - havent needed any for mine - but the support is there! I'm sure it's a valid point that the chap is making - the Beretta parts (although still available) may well be harder to find as it's an obsolete gun, whereas the Escort being a current model is likely to have a much better parts availability. Given this info, I think the chap has reasonable grounds to recommend the escort - which still does come with a 3 year hassle free garentee of good shooting. All these points make a pretty good arguement to me
