JDog
We are on holiday in Norfolk and the Wimbledon final which Lady JDog was desperate to watch was the perfect opportunity for me to have a drive round. Not three fields out of the village was a stubble left behind after the rye had been harvested for fuel. There were pigeons all over it and good lines in and it was a sight for sore eyes. I watched for half an hour then headed to the farm yard nearby and called at the house. The young farmer was watching Wimbledon too but he was happy to chat. He explained that he would have loved to have given me consent but that the shooting Tenant on the estate had taken the pigeon shooting on the estate and wouldn't let anyone else on. Oh well. old'un
Think I would have been cheeky and asked for the shooting tenants phone number, you never know unless you ask. have a good holiday.
fenboy
Unlucky , they grow some whole crop rye on one of my farms but I have not had any luck with it.
Wilts#Dave
Gutting. I bet no one even bothers to shoot the field either!
marsh man
At least you asked Mr JDog , I always did with the knowledge , nothing to lose and everything to gain. Mrs JDog must be happy with the tennis result, so all in all a nice start to your holiday , lets hope it continue .
