kennett
Is any body else noticing there seems a lot of foxes about this year? Been shooting the same patch for a good few years and shot more than ever, and only had the rape cut so far on my own shoot. Had 3 cubs a night for 3 weeks on the trot now! Was out last night and shot one within 30seconds of arriving on the first field, and shot 2 in 5mins on the last field
Ttfjlc
We were out Saturday night, only the wheat left standing but plenty of rape and barley stubble to go over, only saw 2 which disappeared, never had a shot!
Hendrix's rifle
Only seen 2 up here in the last month, 1 cub and a big dog fox but no clear shot :(
Davyo
Stopped shooting after last harvest had 17 over 2weeks.Obviously im not getting out on the fields now but if the amount of dead foxes ive seen this spring/summer on the roads then id agree. masmiffy
Had 50 now on our permissions since the rape was cut so yes a fair few about (now a good few less!!) We tend to have a 'season' 1st June - 30th May last season we had just 59 over the same ground
masmiffy
Excellent night on the foxes on Saturday. Despite strong gusting winds we left home at 9 got back at 1:30 during which time we shot 13 yep 13 foxes!!
Craig83
This year has lent itself to a good fox population, but on my land we don't see that many. Simply because there is a intensive predation control program in place. You might also find that the Cubs are being seen earlier this year due to how mild it's been building up to the mating period
