Adge Cutler
Hopping across the Severn into the Forest of Dean I would imagine. I've seen thousand coming the other way from the Forest and dropping into Berkley Vale and surrounding areas. I saw a big flock last winter on the A361 between Burford and Chipping Norton..easily 5- 6000 birds strong and a similar sized flock three weeks later on the Badminton Estate of the A46 near Hawkesbury Upton. Loads around here at the moment but they seem to have made an early start on the beech mast.
fortune
They're still mating and nesting down south. There's loads gritting on the side of the road and mating up on the wires. The other day I saw one with a nest twig in its beak up on the line. Probably wont see anything near a flock for another two months down here if at all. eastdevon
The last few days I have seen more crows than pigeons!! They seem to have just vanished from my area arm.
Rikweller
I pushed a good flock off the other night and had a good evening with just the dog and a set of shell decoys but still could do with a big flock
