I can't see you playing catch with a jug of Nitroglicerine ... so, why would you want to blow your gun or worse for the sake of some powdeer? If you have the mean to proof the loads then fine, you can adjust accordingly; but I don't think this is the right attitude or teachings you can give newcomers who might be reading these posts ... Swapped the 11 guage bland for a single barrel Boeler blitz that kicked like a mule. The 16 went the same way, Muzzle loaders were two a penny, If only we could turn the clock back.
