help with powders

Recommended Posts

I don't know what the approach is here for reloading, but in my view they are explosives and as such i would treat them with due care.

I can't see you playing catch with a jug of Nitroglicerine  ... so, why would you want to blow your gun or worse for the sake of some powdeer? If you have the mean to proof the loads then fine, you can adjust accordingly; but I don't think this is the right attitude or teachings you can give newcomers who might be reading these posts ...

Then again, everyone is entitled to do as they please...

The tin sold years ago,

The powder came from my grandfather along with a double Durrs egg 16 guage and a Bland double 11 guage live pigeon gun, both muzzle loaders of course.

Swapped the 11 guage bland for a single barrel Boeler blitz that kicked like a mule.

The 16 went the same way,

Muzzle loaders were two a penny,

If only we could turn the clock back.

And yes DD I have been offered 62/82 etc but to far away.
