kingsy18
Nikko stirling, hawke or mtc ,which one of these would be the best choice, thinking of one for a rimmy.
fortune
It's your choice because it's you that has to look through it. It's more a case of the magnification and size. I'd go for a fixed power of 6x 40 or 42. You don't need any more than this and you get more and better glass for the pound. A lot of cheap vary power scopes can't hold the point of aim when the power is changed.
zipdog
Its purely personal preference. Out of the options I would go Nikko Sterling. However this is only because the one Hawke I owned was awful and I dislike the designs on MTC’s. Edited September 18, 2016 by zipdog
Lloyd90
The new Hawke scopes which are laser etched with the aim points for each distance are getting a good following and some good reviews my mate just got one and is very happy! Walker570
Have a bunch of Hawkes and only one has shown any problem but that one has been thrown in and out of aircraft many times...attached to a rifle of course. All of the others I have no problem with. Have one mounted on my double rifle and it hasn't died yet. As said above pitched at a 22RF then a fixed power 4 or 6 would be adequate, although I do like variables. As long as zeroing is done on maximum power there should not be any detected movement, certainly not at 22RF ranges.
moorvale55
Got Hawkes on all the rifles from HW80k springer, .22RF, 17 HMR and .243. Never had a problem with any of them.

figgy
Go and look through them is the best advice as some have fussy reticle others not. I like uncluttered and unfussy when I look through a scope. Don't mind half mil dots etc so long as they're very fine lined.
