Winston72
certainly wouldn't have been, however better than on the M62 apparently
UKPoacher
The fact that they are protesting without knowing the facts and therefore pre-empting justice says a lot about what is wrong with society.
amateur
Irrelevant to the current quality of driving in Bradford, I know, but my overwhelming impression of driving in Bradford in the 1970's was the smell of lanolin in the air as you drove down to Bradford along the Leeds road. Not having been back since then, I guess that that particular smell has now disappeared with the mills. Another whiff when driving North was the coke ovens on the M1 just after Tinsley viaduct, but that has definitely gone, along with the watercoolers

Any excuse for a peaceful protest ha ha

Squinting shot
Looking at the TV report last nights the local communities 'protest' consisted of trashing a Police car and shouting 'murderers' That's their version of a peaceful protest
UKPoacher
Looking at the TV report, last nights 'protest' was trashing a Police car and shouting 'murderers' I was there in 2001 as part of the thin blue line. It was just like Rorke's Drift. Stood there taking the flack with the top brass too frightened of spoiling their promotion prospects to let us do our jobs. defender
I hate going through Bradford I avoid it at all costs. A couple of yrs ago I was travelling from harrogate to huddersfield through Bradford on my motorcycle. I passed a long line of traffic waiting at a pedestrian crossing I was sat next to the front car waiting for the lights to change. A car on the wrong side of the road passed the long line of cars and me and went through the crossing red light, I was gobsmacked and that's the last time I went through Bradford. Still happens on a regular basis now. Would that be "willie" lane? Its mental round there, only go in the 4x4 in those parts! That would be it RC! Winston72
Ah chopper lane just off the Holmewood estate, I often pop up there just to see my wheel trims, and the horses and dogs so quaintly tethered to the green or somebody's garden, not necessarily the owners either, its such a joy to see cars coming the wrong way round the large square roundabout whilst hurling abuse at the poor **** obeying the high way code, i do love that blessed northern delight
timmytree
I drove through Bradford once about 6 years ago when working in the area. Bradford and part of Coventry are the only places where I've felt uncomfortable and uneasy in my own country.
