bishop
I hear reports of the 3" gamebore round being a better cartridge these days as the 3.5 has been known to give poorer patterns overall.Opinions??

figgy
I never had a problem getting good patterns with the Gamebore Mammoth 3 1/2". Dont know if they have changed them in anyway recently mine were all around three years old.
ROYLE11
I have had a few issues with them but just thought it was me LOL .My mate shot with them on friday with his auto and when he picked up the empty's the primers were missing
bishop
lot of shot in them these 3.5 BB rounds and the patterns on the birds are fairly weak considering the range.
widgeon man
? A 'square' load should always pattern better than an overloaded cartridge. However steel is not as affected by this as lead etc...... 3" steel game bore with correct pellet size are more than adequate at 40-50 yards. If you need bigger shot or more range you need the 3.5" case ( pattern)or hw/power shot. I haven't shot the latest gamebore 3.5" but a friend was using 42gram 3's on flighting wigeon with great results
bishop
Im happier with the 3" in a #1 myself. The 3.5 i have used with reasonable success from time to time but in my humble opinion these 3.5 rounds just dont live up to a ten bore pattern wise . That assumes you can justify a 10 of course, which l can't so will stick with 3.5 2oz itm
widgeon man
12 will never match a ten...... with steel it can come close, but it can't match its performance
B525 LIGHT
Few points to note. They contain 44 grams of shot not 42. Their BB is actualy a US B at 4.2mm Ive never put any over a chrono but I cant imagine they are acheive much over 1260 fps
