Fuji Shooter
Picked up a nice Rizzini Sideplate the other day only paid £100 for it as the previous owner sprayed the barrels with a rattle tin. Bits of it are already flaking off so what would be the best way to remove the rest?

sportsbob
Cellulose thinners or petrol as with the exception of two pack most paints now dissolve with petrol.

Royboy
I've just blued some barrels and they look mint, but not sure how long they will last because cold bluing doesn't last long apparently ??
welshwarrior
Let a barrel blacker strip them and strike them off then black them that way you'll have no ripples also their magic tanks seem to remove anything. Finish will also last longer.
