tonker
Guys, I have just ordered a set of these to go on my Ranger. Do any of you use them on your trucks, and how do they perform. are they long lasting? I've been told they are noisier on the road, but that doesn't worry me. I spend some late nights foxing now off road, and don't want to embarrass myself by phoning farmer for a tow in the early hours. Thanks for any replies. sishyplops
I had them on my ranger and man were they noisy, got shot in the end as used mainly on the road
rimfire4969
Instead of the Muds I went for the AT ko2's more aggressive than the standard AT not as noisy and I have not been stuck yet.
Fuji Shooter
I have got muds on my 90, can't say the noise is that bad but M/T tyres are a nare when braking on wet tarmac.
Gav912
The new pattern BFG Mud Terrains are a lot quieter on the road than what the old style ones are, had both in the past on different Defenders, they are hard wearing so not a problem in that area. Wymondley
I have them on my 110, they replaced at set of ATs. Can't really notice any increase in noise or performance on road, great improvement off road though. May well be different on a more civilised vehicle than a Land Rover. wigeon jim
Just fitted a set of the new BFG MT on my ranger and they are great, Jim.
tonker
Just an update, put the muds on and went down the m5 to see wymberly on Sunday. All I can say is I was pleasantly surprised! Nowhere near as noisy as I thought they would be, The only mistake I made was that I put the biggest I could on and they rub on the hard mud in the wheel arches on full lock. Just waiting to see what they're like off road now when I need them.
wigeon jim
Yes, I once put on big MT and they ripped the wheel arc trims right off, Jim.
Red-dot
Fitted a set of 31"X15 on my L200 and i can go into soft stubble with confidence where my Defender on the original BFG's would struggle.
