Twistedsanity
Delete them from your main email account using a laptop?
Me matt
I had the same problem with the old 4s a couple of years ago. I deleted the email account then set it up again, didn't have a problem after that.
HDAV
What email provider? There is a option to remove from server when deleted you may need to change the setting
amateur
Is your date set correctly on your phone? I had this problem of old emails showing up and it was due to an incorrect date

Billy.
The issue here is that if your phone is set to the old POP settings, it will want to download your entire mailbox each time. Look to change your inbox to IMAP (Google your email provider + IMAP) and set the account up again. This will only call the headers of the last 100 emails and if you need to go back further, it will download them on the fly.
