billytheghillie
Read something a while ago think it was on here about using vosene shampoo meant to help, I add coconut oil to my dogs food as well That's right ( think it was me that put it on) I use vosene on my 6 year old cocker, never had any dandruff. Was a dog breeder who told me. P.S. I use it myself.

Malinois
I just bought some of this for my dogs. I think it's the strongest pine tar shampoo you can get. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00CRCVS78/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_91w3ybHH0J6R2

hawkeye
I have only had him a couple of weeks and the food he is on was recommended is salmon and potato its a dry food but you can add water if needed.. ( I also had my springer on the same feed ) He gets fed once a day he gets 280 grms a day as recommended and he weights 13.5 kilo when he was weighted at the vets when i first got him.. So don't think he's getting to much food..

Interesting. My cocker bitch is also on Salmon & Potato (Simpsons) which she loves and sometimes gets a bit of dandruff. I wouldn't consider her overweight (the vet said if you can feel their ribs, they're ok) - although she is a tad heavier than during the shooting season - but I'll try cutting her food down a bit. Thanks. Edited April 1, 2017 by Eyefor

12gauge82
Could just be it's coat is thick and it needs a really good brush to allow oxygen get to its skin, especially if it's got any matts in its fur.

Thats not a problem he has been trimmed out and gets brushed regularly..started to give him gluten free food with a drop of salmon oil seems to be an improvement, time will tell..
