Me matt
Has anyone had any experience with mobile wheel refurbishing companies? What were the results like? Looking for someone in the essex area to refurb 4 wheels on a car I've just purchased. Thanks in advance 👍

Me matt
bit of a lottery, what sort of wheels are they? Not sure, standard Seat wheels of some sort, not multi spoke or anything too technical.
Rupert
Mobile is a bit of a cover up job, they only work on the faces, i think they put the paint on thin too to save drying time, round here they are no cheaper but they are more convenient that being without your wheels for a week. If im pushed for time i buy some spare rims on the bay get em refurbed and sell on my originals.

I had thought about that, but it's a rare model & can't find anything suitable as a replacement 🤔
TaxiDriver
If they simply need a repaint ? Try Kraftwork out at Boyton Hall Farm of the A1060

Me matt
If they simply need a repaint ? Try Kraftwork out at Boyton Hall Farm of the A1060 Yeah I know that place, I also know someone who does stripping and powder costing but can't be without the car to get the wheels off and down to someone, that's why I thought maybe one of those mobile peeps but results are hit and miss from what I've read. Yes they only need a repaint, no damage. Is it your daily? Yeah the wife's, I wrote off her old daily a couple of weeks ago 😕

Me matt
Not common them, will other seat wheels fit? Hmmmm I'll have to read up on that, but being a cross over none of the other seat wheels I've seen would look right or be man enough by the looks of it. Yes - very rare, but impressive spec and performance.

four-wheel-drive
I would think that this mobile wheel refurbishment would be ok if you was going to sell a car ans wanted to make it look good but if you are intending to keep it for some time I would have it done properly if you need to use it have one wheel done at a time. shaun4860
There is a guy up here who does it, Always busy and the main dealers such as BMW/AUDI and the like block book him for the used cars they sell, He also does the likes of Jaguar as well so he must be good, not daft prices either depending on what needs doing, and will advise on if it's worth doing as well and what results should be expected. Oh he is a clay shooter as well so must be a nice guy

Vince Green
The wheels on my van went really rusty so after looking around I found it was cheaper to buy new rims from Oponeo than it was to get the old ones repainted. Also cheaper than second hand wheels on ebay suprisingly Im keeping the old rims, going to paint them with hammerite and put winter tyres on them when I get round to it
