gemini52
Thinking of buying a bsa ultra, mainly for plinking, just wanted some feed back from you fine chaps, relability, shot count, the usual stuff.
hawkfanz
good little gun ive had loads of bunnies, acurate but not a big shot count, bout 40 and the later magazines are more reliable.
Ultrastu
If it's an ultra se. Fill to 230 bar .for about 45 shots Jab exact 4.53 pellets or bisley magnums Very reliable .extremely accurate Every gun you could ever need The perfect hunters gun I also love the older mmc ultras , very good
GingerCat
I got an ultra xl (was a geat price, cheaper than the se). The trigger has more travel than I'd like but it's 100% predictable which is what you want.i get an easy 70 shots from a full charge with no noticeable change in poi throughout the range (.22). At a measured 42m (bottom of garden) it groups inside 10mm rested using jsb exact. It sounds noisy to the firer but 3 feet away it's as quiet as a mouse with an hw silencer. Free hand 1 inch groups at 35 years are easy enough as the rabbits next door will testify as I pop them in the freezer covered in a nice curry marinade. Pistol p
Great guns. I switched to the scorpion SE 177 now, same gun with a slightly longer barrel and air tube that doubles the shot count. Amazing gun, really accurate and so reliable.
Guest topshot_2k
The Ultra SE is a good gun, if its for target/plinking i'd go for scorpion though to save having to refill quite so often
Guest
Another +1 here for the Ultra SE. It's a great all rounder - not just plinking. Low shot count is a pain when practising but not in the field.
manthing
I run a .22 as a night hunting gun and it's probably the only tcp I will own other than an FAC. Cracking gun, air cylinder is big enough unless you're looking at a serious plinking/target session.

Guest
Had a SE Ultra , swapped it for the SE Scorpion. What a gun !!! The extra shot count? The basics of the rifle are the same.
