rimfire4969
I need a new set of walkie talkies. These are duel purpose, we use them around work during the holiday season and we use them on the shoot during that season. I need at least 4 handsets. We have always paid about £50 for a set of 2. Our ones are slowly dying. I don't mind paying more money for more range £200 - £300 would be fine. Any ideas. rovercoupe
I have been converted to the stupid cheap baofeng radios, used a set of the i think 888 model and just bought some uv82s. Been through maxons, motos, kenwoods and all sorts of others and these are pretty good given the throw away price and not had a single problem yet. oowee
All of the leisure radios have the same power at 0.5w and range is similar dependent on aerial. If yu go for the baofeng type (5w) you will need a licence. These people are good
rimfire4969
I am thinking of getting a Ofcom licence it can all got through my business and will stop the problems we have with leisure walkie talkies and loads of campers on the same channel, interference and loss of signal. Also some of our conversations are for our ears only. £75 for 5 years. I know the radios will cost about £100 each but I will get the vat back.
