Sadly i think this is the same person both from the same area. Gutted as some of his land is on my doorstep but im not lineing the pockets of some drug dealer thanks for the heads up i appreciate it

I do not blame you for NOT lining the pockets of a drugs dealer, after all, the arc of fire through a cell window would be very restrictive.

Sounds like the same bloke, well spotted, i must say although i would never book a goose guide it is not some thing i would think about the guide being involved to such a degree in crimes of this or any nature. .

ALAN CROSTON, ANGUS ROBB, ANTHONY CROSTON & LEE GRIFFIN

At the High Court in Edinburgh Lord Uist sentenced Lee Angus Robb, Alan Croston, Angus Robb, Anthony Croston and Lee Griffin for being concerned in the supply of heroin on dates between August and October 2011.

On sentencing Lord Uist made the following statement in court:

“You five all played different parts in a heroin supply chain stretching from the north west of England to Fife and Tayside. This was drug dealing at a high level. High quantities of heroin and large sums of money were involved. You, Lee Angus Robb, were the lead player at the Scottish end and you, Alan Croston, were the lead player at the English end. The rest of you were involved in lesser capacities but were nevertheless important links in the chain of supply. The evil trade in heroin is a form of pestilence which ruins individual lives and strikes at the very fabric of society. It must therefore be suppressed by this court imposing severe sentences on those who engage in it and particularly those who seek to profit from it. All of you took a high risk by becoming involved in that trade and now, having been brought to justice, must face the reckoning. Only you Lee Angus Robb have accepted your guilt. Fortunately, in this case your trade was interrupted by the police, to whom the public should be grateful for their excellent work in this case.

I now turn to impose sentence on each of you in turn.

So far as you, LEE ANGUS ROBB, are concerned, it is clear from the evidence that you were in business as a heroin dealer during the relevant period. You are 29 years old and have a very serious criminal record which contains two High Court convictions. You were sentenced in 2003 to 6 years imprisonment for assault to severe injury and danger of life. On 19 January last year you were sentenced to 4 years 9 months imprisonment for being concerned in the supplying of heroin between 31 October and 8 November 2010. In your case the sentence which I impose, allowing, in light of the pleas which you tendered, a discount of one year from the sentence of 10 years imprisonment which I would otherwise have imposed, is 9 years imprisonment, to run from the expiry of all sentences previously imposed.

You ALAN CROSTON, were, as I have already said, the lead player at the English end of this operation and were overseeing the transport of the drugs to Scotland. You are 58 years old and have no previous convictions. Nevertheless, the evidence demonstrated that you were deeply involved in the chain of supply. You gave evidence and told some of the most pathetic lies I have ever heard from the witness box. The sentence which I impose upon you is 7 years imprisonment from 5 February 2013.

You ANGUS ROBB acted on behalf of your son on 19 September 2011 when you handed over £17,650 to Anthony Croston which you knew was a payment for drugs. You are now 59 years old and, although you have a criminal record, it is a long time since you were sentenced to custody. The sentence which I impose upon you is 3 years imprisonment from 5 February 2013.

You ANTHONY CROSTON took delivery of the money from Angus Robb on 19 September 2011 and were on your way back south with it when you were stopped by the police. You are now 53 years old and have never previously offended. The sentence which I impose upon you is also 3 years imprisonment from 5 February 2013.

So far as you LEE GRIFFIN are concerned, your conviction covered the period from 15 August to 4 October 2011. On the latter date you dropped off 2 kilos of low purity heroin, clearly intended for uplifting by Lee Robb, who was nearby. You are almost 45 years old and have no previous convictions. In your case the sentence which I impose is 5 years imprisonment from 5 February 2013.”

Well, funny that story came up.back in 2001 i booked a trip from Italy with Lee Robb of then Safari Scotland... After day 1 of 3 we were questioned by the police for poaching; apparently the guy took us on someone elses land and with the cover, his dad shot a deer off season. To add injury to insults, they then told us we had no visitor permit to our names and (not so) gently invited to FOff and even kicked out of the hotel we were staying. Our friend, who booked the guide, paid £40 per head per permit...he took the police to Lee and his father but apparently nothing happened since, when I moved to Scotland in 2005 he as still guiding (even suggest to me i buy a gun and keep it at his) We end up spending 3 days in Edinburgh faking a fab shooting hols....
