wymberley
Seems I'm going shooting at clays tomorrow. I don't suppose it really matters as no doubt I'll hit everything I aim at - this is the spot where either the clay will be shortly or was a split second earlier - and I've just fond a slab of these. I didn't get them long ago but can now find no mention of them. Could anyone kindly tell me if they're good, bad or indifferent? Many thanks. dodeer
Used to use these by the thousand about ten years ago. Red see through case , fibre , 2.5”. Typical club type load. Always found them decent.
Westley
Used 1000's of the 24 gram version, used to be one of the best....................then they 'upgraded' it !
aga man
Brilliant cartridges in my opinion. I have shot hundreds of pigeons with these. The only complaint would be the recoil. Quite punchy if you fire 100+ in an afternoon. Gun head ache etc. But great consistent shells for the money.
figgy
Found they pattern very well through my gun though they do kick a little more than some other carts but the prices were good at the time so a bargain.
wymberley
Thanks, Guys. Sensibly, I listened. I bought these for the little AYA which is 21/2", but took the Chapuis which is only an ounce heavier but which handles any recoil better. Even so after 80+ I was wrecked. Went to Ashcombe but for someone who's getting (got) on and who has not shot clays for over 20 years, it was all too much for me. Having said that, step-son didn't fare any better. The few I did hit were only marginally so and it wasn't until we finished off on the bolting rabbit that we cleaned up and literally smoked them all. With the 100 up, I was well worn out. As for the driven game stand, I wouldn't even load the gun let alone raise it. A midi and a mini so fast I couldn't even follow them with my eyes let alone with the gun. Haven't been there since shortly after it got going and it really is a superb facility now. Which was why it was so sad to see inspite of all the politely worded requests that shooters put their emply cases in the bins provided the ground was littered with them.
