Sussexboy
My daughter has a 4 year old springer that crabs when he runs. When he gets up to speed he straightens out. Some people at her flyball club are making waves about it. He had always done it and shows no signs of distress, pain or lameness. Anybody else see this with your spanners? She is taking him to the vet tomorrow to see what he says.

Tim Kelly
Many of them do it when they're excited. It's an endearing trait, not a physical deformity.

Sussexboy
Well, he went the vet today and as expected there is nothing wrong. The vet said that short of going through the whole hip scoring process there was not much else he could do. He didn’t want to do that because it would be an unnecessary general anaesthetic. So that is that. Thanks for your reassuring comments.
