islandgun
Ive got a tub of lead shot mixed 1's and 3's approximately 50/50, Im thinking of doing some loads using them as they come rather than trying to separate, does anyone think this is potentially a bad idea ? thanks very much IG

Fen tiger
I would not bother to mix 3 sand 1s , but as it is already mixed i would load it as it is.

Continental Shooter
i wouldn't personally mix them but use them in separate layers to achieve different effects (e.g. better spread or better concentration).... after all that is the purpose of duplexing. Theres at least a couple of kg mixed already, Ive loaded some and will see how they pattern tomorrow, but have been looking at some American duplex loads of Steel and Hevi in layers that sound interesting ! Continental Shooter
It's not the end of the world of they're mixed, just unpredictable on the behaviour as you can't tell the ratio in each shell. But I am sure geese up here in Scotland will not like them
