moor man Posted February 24, 2019 Author Report Share Posted February 24, 2019 Mine is no oil painting but it's been a lot of fun so far. It's a 'field grade' gun but pretty tidy. I like the simplicity of it and the bombproof sliding receiver set-up is very confidence - inspiring. I shot my first woodland red in January, if I'd used this I would have been one happy chap, as it was I was still developing a load for it so the 6.5mm did the deed (still very happy tho) I particularly wanted this combination as its suitable for all European big game. I’m interested now that was my biggest regret............i was in the smiths in halesworth (leon et al brother etc)...........and he showed me one for sale...it was 1920 'ish....double barrel 410 bwith 22 underneath...and i tell you know it was bloody mint.........£300 quid..........i himbed and harred and said no as i had a pot full of rifles.............. really regret not buying it...........
