walshie
If ever a fox has been in the wrong place at the wrong time, it was about half an hour ago. (Or right place, right time from my point of view.) I had my gun cabinet open to charge up my NV for later on. Mr Fox (the one who dumps all over our garden for the dogs to roll in, I assume) was digging my lawn about 25 yards down the garden in broad daylight. Obviously he knew the dogs were inside and was making the most of it. Luckily for him my S1 ammo is in a different cabinet so couldn't use the rifle that was in my hand. Unluckily for him, my S1 shotgun is in that cabinet and I have shotgun cartridges in my desk drawer. I quickly loaded 2 42gr 1s into the shotgun, pointed the barrel out the window and bang! Dead on the spot, first shot. The only thing I didn't consider in the heat of the moment is how loud a 12g would be in a small room. Eh? He nearly ended up the same way as the rat did.

Dekers
Bet your ears are still ringing! I let go a fair few rimfires in bedrooms when I'm doing the garden foxes, they are all moderated but still loud, never fired a shotgun in a bedroom, it really must be loud, especially 42g 1!
