Well we done it, what a couple of days. We started on Ben Nevis on Monday at 10.00 and finished 24 hours later on the foot of Snowdon.

Ben Nevis,

I`m still trying to come down from this once in a life time experience. After leaving the minibus we set off up the well marked path towards the summit of Ben Nevis no time to warm up just keep climbing we soon went into the clouds and that was that, with a regular stream of walkers we did not once feel lonely, on the way up we met Anna from the Czech Republic who was our constant companion for the rest of the walk! Not a lot to tell apart from when getting near the top snow on the ground and then the path took us very near the edge and there was a sold sheet of ice all the way over to a shear drop. At last the summit cold damp with sleet in the air but worth it, then it was of down hill, once back at the bus a quick pot noodle and cup of tea and off to the lakes.

Scafell Pike,

Because of our chosen timetable we started this walk in the twilight knowing we would finish in the dark so armed with torches we set off. The only real problem from now on was the rain. On the drive to the lakes the sun came out and Rob said we could watch the sun go down from the top, no chance!! Soon after setting out it started. The foot path at one point goes over a waterfall, on the way up no prob`s . It soon became apparent this was going to be hard work. We finally made the top in the dark and visibility of about 10 yards. Dean the bloke who organised the walk brought a GPS without this we would not have made it. At this Pont i think every one was really worried, we still had to get down it was very cold. So off we set a few wrong turns ( the GPS got us back on track ) Then the waterfall again, by now because of the rain had become almost impassable but by taking it easy and helping each other out we got across. Back at the bus off comes the boots and out comes about a cup full of water.

Snowdon,

It is now 06.20 and it is time to start the last one. Cold, wet and completely knackerd off we go again, nice and flat for the first 2 miles and then UP & UP & UP ( and yes the rain ) we lose the path a few times but finally the last ridge, again no view but it is so cold ( Wales in July!) In one way the most disappointing because you walk to the top and there is a bloke in a JCB working on a railway, but in the other its is the hardest climb. Down at the car park a change of clothes and the best bread roll and chicken soup in history.
