Ultrastu
I can say DONT get the chrony one . Either alpha, beta or the f1 . You would be better timing your pellet with your wrist watch .it would be more accurate and reliable .
Saltings
crony f1 for me metal folds up 1/2 size American built cant go wrong quite a few plastic ones our there cannot get a consisting reading but on crony within a few fps if you are some where near cv6 you can borrow to try out before you buy all the best

I bought the F1 probably 11-12 years ago and replaced it with a Magnetospeed about 4 years ago and on testing them both at the same time - i.e. Magnetospeed attached to barrel and F1 about 14 feet downrange between all readings there was literally next to nothing in it, just 1-10 fps in it or so with some readings being identical. The F1 tended to read a touch slower which could be accounted for it being 14 feet away rather than muzzle mounted.
spandit
I have an F1 and a SuperChrono. With the F1 you have to be really careful it's lined up properly and it can be tricky in bright sunshine. Both seem accurate, though
