bang bang birdy
I had a similar issue with my brand new 452 many years ago. Mine was a dodgey extractor claw. Take it back in to your rfd it’s an easy fix
barbel
I have two from new, 22, 17hmr, both have same bolts, never had a problem, take it back, tried all sorts of ammo on the market to find the best results, never had a problem. Croohur
JUst check that the problem isnt with the magazine. If you have a second magazine use that and see if you have the same problem. If so, probably a rough extractor. If not, it could be the magazine. Sometimes you just need to give it a firm push with your thumb as the spring is a bit stuck and can affect the bolt as you are extracting the spent shell. This was happening with me intermittently when I was using one particular magazine - the spring was in wrong way around. Also try a few different types of ammo first before you send it back
oldypigeonpopper
hello, my 455 likes the RWS subs and i clean off the wax as found it bunged up the breach, return yours to the RFD gary and let them sort it, try blagging 50 subs for your time and returning costs

Dekers
As already mentioned likely to be extractor, an easy fix. The extractor/bolt needs regular cleaning on the .22. they clog up quickly but if its new that shouldn't be an issue.
walshie
Used to happen to my 452 when Eleys were particularly waxy. Worth cleaning the slot the extractor sits in when the bolt is closed.
