TIGHTCHOKE
It is the 6th of January and we have a pair of wood pigeons getting fruity whilst feeding on the grain we put down. They really will attempt to breed right through the year.
timmytree
It's not just pigeons, my neighbours cherry tree is in full blossom, apple trees are budding and when I drove into Somerton yesterday there was 2 big displays of daffodils on the roadside. lakeside1000
Out here on the east coast of Norfolk I have not noticed any mating birds or budding bushes, its freezing most days with bitter easterly winds straight off the sea, there are a few green shoots in the garden but the pigeons here are still tightly packed into small areas mostly on the rape, most days they just sit in the tops of the tallest trees and only come down for a couple of hours feeding around midday, the rest of the time its a waiting game just for the odd bird over decoys. roll on spring !! Walker570
Had two pigeons creating mayhem amongst a dozen hen pheasants trying to enjoy the kibbled maize I had put down. The female definitely had a headache but the cock bird was having non of it.
