How do all!

Another newbie here!

I started shooting at about 14, and did clays on and off for a year, but was never any good at it, and not to mention got sidetracked by the female of the species, so left it there!

I picked up a gun again when i went out to the clay range with my dad (at that time was age 25), as he had just started shooting (primarily game, but was taking lessons on clays to help get his eye in), and decided to have a go whilst i was there. That was about a year ago now (give or take a couple of months), and for x-mas i got a Beretta 686E 12 bore.

It came with a load of chokes, and has an adjustable stock, which i have never even thought about actually adjusting!

I did some game shooting with it, about 3 days i think, with varying success levels, but have seemed to have much better luck with clays.

I have done a bit of shooting in the last month or so, mostly at pigeons and rabbits around the farm, but on Wednesday last week i went clay shooting at a local range (Lakenheath, Suffolk) and did a bit of sporting before moving onto the skeet competition for the first time ever.

I was quite pleased with myself, as i walked away with 21/25. Not bad for a first time! As it happens, i had also forgotten to change my chokes, so was shooting on half and three quarters in the barrels!

I have changed them to quarter and cylinder in preparation for tomorrows competition!

Anyways, Hi!
