That said, there are a range of charges, which would not have been brought if CPS didn't think they were going to get a result. I must be going soft, but I feel sorry for Diane Abbott - clearly doing a job, which she appears to be incapable of doing competently - and her son is in a mess. As a parent - of the West Indian heritage that she holds in such high regard - she must be suffering too.
