hodge911
As I know sweet beggar all about 3D printing I have a question . If I needed something copying how easy is it . I ask as I have just bought a used flip over saw (before lockdown) and I have just noticed (silly me but it was only £50) there is a plastic cutting guide missing I have the right hand one but need a left hand one made as after hours of trawling the net I have come to the conclusion that they are not available ... So anyone know how I could get one done its the blue plastic bit Edited April 4, 2020 by hodge911

johnphilip
Looking at the saw , cant see it all , but if your doing 90% cuts you dont need that plastic guide, that is going to cut down on the size of a piece of timber your going to cut . oldypigeonpopper
hello, £50 !!!!!!!!! what make was that, i need one when i can get back to the farm, does it come with different blades, might need a left hander to, no not that kind
hodge911
Yea £50 S/H on local gumtree add .. It's nothing special its only a Macallister make It's in fairly decent condition as the previous owner used it very little... maybe do with a new blade (or sharpening) but it's not going cost a fortune for that they do a pair on evilbay for £10 -£15 I've cut 18mm MDF and 15mm pine ok with it but I think it may need a new / different one for hardwood Edited April 4, 2020 by hodge911

Diver One
They are a fiddle to,change from table to,chopsaw the first few times......after a while it can be done in about 5 seconds if buying second hand make sure it comes with the lowER blade guard this covers chop saw blade in table top mode and works the mechanical interlock saving the loss of fingers

kennett
Another vote for evolution saws, we have one at work that had cut all sorts including steel tube. I just got my own to build a shed with, came to £140 for the saw and stand with rollers etc from Screwfix.
