Hello All,

Just joined. I shoot Sporting Clays (erratically) and do a bit of sea fishing when I get the time. I like a good forum and I tend to be a bit of a gobsh*te :whistling::shifty:

Strangely, I found a thread on here about D & J cartridges on the internet and thought I'd join - can't find the thread now, though :yahoo:

I use D & Js because I'm a cheapskate and I can miss just as well with them as anything more expensive

:whistling: and enjoy
hello mate new member my self .i bought four thousand d/j for me and my lad bloke down club reckons there express as there in blue shell not orange :yahoo:

Cheers mate. D & J are made by Lyalvale Express and just packaged as D & J for some weird reason. Perhaps Lyalvale don't want to be associated with the cheap end of the market

I shoot OK with them. I just use expensive shells for long range shots, because I would expect a better pattern from an expensive cartridge. I don't notice a lot of difference though, to be honest :shifty:

I don't understand all this stuff about D & J being dirty either, they're not the cleanest, but I don't find them noticeably bad. The muckiest cartridges I ever used were some cheap-end Winchester ones

welcome mate....where do you go sea fishing

Cheers Mikky. I go to Anglesey mostly, off the beach or rocks. I used to live in Kent and fished Herne Bay, Deal, Dover, Folkestone, Dungeness etc and I had a boat down there too, but that was when there used to be a few fish about :whistling:
