London Best Posted November 23, 2020 Report Share Posted November 23, 2020 Not in cases like Sutcliffe’s, obviously, but many nasty minor crimes would reduce if corporal punishment were reintroduced. bruno22rf Posted November 24, 2020 Report Share Posted November 24, 2020 (edited) Far too may bleeding hearts to bring back any form of corporal punishment - imagine the claims after being flogged.....Assault, ABH and then the recipiant would claim he could no longer work due to injuries, that's before the claims for mental issues brought on by the flogging. Hanging is no longer a viable method because of the costs involved - it is far cheaper to imprison someone for life if you add up the legal costs of one appeal after another.
