Floating Chamber
Filthy things You Jessies! You obviously (IMHO) have never experienced the 'joy' of cleaning a shotgun after an afternoon of felt-wadded blackpowder shooting. I am more worried about a 'clean' looking bore than a 'dirty' one! But would you know why?
garyb
The caps on them expand so much that I can't open the 682, as it's stuck fast. Did a corporate clay day recently, and when they wheeled out 1000 of the things I went back to the car and got my own super comps. I like eley firsts for a budget shell, Rio's are not that bad either.

However, the recoil should push the primer cap back in against the breech face. OR Do you mean the 8mm metal head bulges at the sides where it joins the plastic tube? garyb
I'd say that they expand from the head. I can't see the gun has an issue. as every other shell put through it (approx 15000) has been fine.

I've seen this happen with D&J on two seperate occasions with two different guns, so I dont think you are alone. Perhaps there was a duff batch circulating at the time. I used them at the Sporting Gun 60 birder in my Lanber O/U and had no problems. I notice that you said you like RIOs.. I agree, a much under-rated brand IMHO.
