The rotor "whop whop" was the reason that the US started looking at making helicopters with more than two blades. Also, that brings back memories to when I was working in Germany. There was a mountain rescue helo pad by my office and one day I heard "that noise" when I was doing some writing up... Really worried me until an orange Bell 212 landed!
