Centrepin
Just out of interest has anyone seen one of these before. I'm reasonably familiar with WW1 trench periscopes and also Lee Enfield rifles. But this is new on me. I gather this is American? Every day a school day, willing to learn anything about this. Rob85
Looking at the guys webbing would suggest american as I think at the beginning of the Pacific campaign in WW2 the marines still used that webbing and the Springfield rifle. Looks like a cool idea, maybe more of an annoyance weapon rather than having real practical accuracy. I do love seeing all the ingenuity from WW1 and WW2
JohnfromUK
That would bring a whole new order of 'muzzle flip'!

Centrepin
The picture of mine is definitely American from his dress, but I would say the other one is British by the hat and puttees. I also think the rifle is an Enfield. Interesting how they came up with differant things. Wymondley
There'd be some interesting recoil action going on there. Edited December 19, 2020 by Wymondley
