These are only my feelings and no doubt others will feel differently, I am not comfortable with showing the collection of weapons I keep at my house, I know we are supposed to be secure with our usernames etc but still can see no real reason to post pics, we all know what they look like, the exception being maybe someone has a particularly nice looking outfit they have put together and want to share it with us and rightly so.

In the news this morning there are reports that 1 in 5 adults in the uk know where they can buy illegal guns  , where do these guns originate from? Some of them from burglaries where the owner has been indiscreet or bragging down the pub maybe.

As I said only my take on it.

I totally agree, whats the point of our security measures if we advertise our possesions on the web,

perhaps we could also show our credit cards, cash stash, jewellry, cameras etc, then leave the doors unlocked.

Oh dear………….sounds like you have been brainwashed along with the rest of the population. <_<

This is just the sort of **** that the ACPO and the GCN like to come up with in order to try and get legally owned guns banned. When pistols were legally owned, this BS was constantly being pushed forward as a reason to get rid of private ownership, and it didn’t matter one jot that it wasn’t true… ;) ……it made good headlines.

The Home Office actually published their own figures a few years ago which showed that @97% of all ILLEGAL guns were coming in from abroad (Baltic states etc) and that only @ 3% were ever LEGALLY owned.

This figure has actually GONE DOWN and the number of guns stolen for crime is so small as not to even be of any real significance.

This very argument was proposed by a SMP a week or so ago. So please don’t give the silly man credence by actually agreeing with his drivel. B)

Please remember guys that JCBruno is a Canadian. People over there are not ashamed to say that they go shooting (or to wear fur coats). JC is obviously proud of his guns and wanted to show them to us.

D2D, If you want to keep details of your weapons to yourself that is your prerogative. I think that you will find that the vast majority of illegally held weapons in this country are brought over in the back of cars from mainland (probably eastern) europe. We don't see raids on houses just to steal shotguns or rifles in the newspapers very often.

Shootingman. You have successfully made yourself look a right cock. Full details of your weapons are given in your signature you dipstick. Why don't you include details of your credit cards, cash stash, jewellry, cameras etc B)

As D2D has already pointed out, we know what they look like, we don't need pictures. :yp: :D

G Im far from brainwashed and certainly not paranoid what I said was that IMO I could see no point in displaying a collection, a particularly nice gun maybe,

I dont make up the news but was suprised at the figure given whether its true or not I wouldnt know. Just the same as your opinion that the number of stolen guns has actually gone down where does that info come from?

Obviously in America/Canada they have a different view of guns but here we have far more restrictions to contend with, I have been asked several times over the years if I have any "old" shotguns I want to sell B) , I certainly dont believe that there isn,t a ready market for guns no matter how they were obtained.

Your last remark is patronising to say the least, best remember we are on the same side. :D

Genuine question here! Why is the bipod on the other way around? Is there are reason for it?

Yeah someone commented on that ages ago when i first got the gun, i now know how to fit it properly

Right! ;) I thought there was going to be an intriguing story for it and how it has some advantage or something! Nevermind! <_<

Well until my cert arrives I'll just have to sit and stare at all the other kit that the users of this forum own <_<

I'm not too bothered about photos of my guns or myself on the site. If anyone's going to find me and pinch my kit it will probably be at the clay club or when I'm loading the truck outside the house. If my safe is found, good luck to someone trying to steal it. The bolts are enough to tear the side of the house down (and there's not really any way to do that upstairs in a tight cupboard). If they break the wall (that's supporting the floor they're standing on) that could be painful for them, then the safe was almost impossible to move empty so with 500 shells in the locktop and a few guns for good measure it's going to be just a tad heavy.
