LEFTY478
Beretta 686's are very good guns. The action on this gun forms the basis of most current Berettas' today.

IEH
I've had a 686 lightweight game for over 25 years now, so could be a good deal older than you think. Excellent gun though!
EvoCars
ive got a 686 s sporting, love it, so well made and solid, just feels really solid, smooth and well built, and its about 10 years old, feels better than my mates brand new lincoln
garyb
How old are they now, i was thinking about 6 years give or take a bit? You can still buy them brand new... It's a model number I guess, like a S class merc or an A4 audi.

Indeed, I have a pretty new Silver Pigeon, but it's down as a 686 on my license
pin
686 refers to the receiver, action, barrels etc. For instance I shoot a "686 white onyx" which I bought last year. A good mate shoot a 686 oynx which must be 10 years old. Same gun in essence, different furnature. The Beretta 686 is an absolute classic in terms of design. Current models based on the design are the White Onyx and silver pigeon series
