vmaxphil
I have a tissot seastar navigator chronograph with a valjoux 7734 movement from 1975, it's unfortunately not in good condition, whoud need a new glass and complete strip and refurbishment, I would like to know from the experts is it worth selling or just binning, I've had it from new and haven't used it for years thanks for replies in advance
Ferretlurcher1970
Don't bin it. Not sure if its worth anything. Have a tissot titanium brilliant watch. If you want rid yes please
Stonepark
Worth a bit even in current state, see if there is a local watchmaker, who could give a quote for strip, clean and new glass. In decent condition can make up to £750.
Loki
Hiya I have used Michael Swift for a full service on a a similar aged (and movement I recall) mechanical watch - can only recommend him highly (also used by a good friend for an equivalent watch). simonm
It would be worth investigating whether you’d make more selling In current condition or paying for a refurb but potentially selling for a higher price

Loki
Hi Billy the G Wonderful - lucky man! If I recall when he did my watch 2/3? years ago his son was also involved in Horology - perhaps taken up the reins........... TZ-Forums seems to have some well respected Horologists, including those that work on older timepieces, but waiting times in months (Seamaster took 12 weeks and 8 before being accepted into lab) L
Townie
Get it mended! I have 1970s Tissot that I got for my 21st. It's been to the mender's twice in 40+ years. It won't be cheap, but it will come back like new and you'll have a nice watch.
