Cheers, had it a couple of months, done a few mods to it to try and make a good hunting machine. Next time I get it cleaned off I'll put some more pics up. Use it for decoying too, got a big cammo net ive cut to size that fits over the roll cage, then wait for the woodys on nice comfy seats!

That looks as if it was a fun bit of sport for the night.

a nice bag as well.

how do you find the carts? i use them and must say that i get on with them very well.

Im having a lot of success with them, they seem to hit really hard, not too much recoil.Doesnt matter whos shooting we never see many 'runners'. My only complaint is they are a very dirty cartridge, the mechanism gets dirty very quickly and causes jams when im using them. Well I think thats what does it??!

Here's a couple more pics of the bunnies, nice to see any without Mixy. Shame about the crow in the garage though :D

The argo is an awesome shooting vehicle, and Sid's got her well kitted out, with more improvements in the pipeline, hopefully he'll get some pics up soon when she's undergone a few more mods.

We should have some more outings to tell you of soon, and hope to have a lot of bunnies per night at my Mrs' place, we averaged about 15 a night back in the winter/spring with the shotgun and we haven't shot all summer so should be a good few about. The 17hmr should get a few outings soon aswell, and by damn you can get some bunnies per night with that.

Sam ;)

They are a fair bit new bout 5-6k for a vanguard 6 wheeler, up to 8-9k for a specced 8 wheeler. This is a 1997 that I bought for 1500 + vat (claimed that back tho). Needed a bit of work, nothing too costly though. Im was always a die hard quad fan, used to have a kawasaki mule also, but the argo has really impressed me, wasnt expecting a lot but it is an awesome little piece of kit. Its got seats for four people (8 wheelers seat 6), is easily as quick as my old mule (40kmh) but picks up quicker, and really easy to work on. The best thing about it for rabbiting is being skid steer it will turn on the spot. I could go on all day.... 300kg weight over 6 low preasure tyres mean no damage to crops and ground, dam near impossible to get stuck, and it will swim. Shooter can sit next to driver instead of standing up behind which is a lot safer. My only real gripe is it only has a 20amp charging circuit which struggles to cope with the headlights, and the two 55w halogen spots on the front. Argo want £300 for the alternator kit, the robbing ********! So I Run all the hunting lights of a separate circuit with a 75 amphour leisure battery that Ive installed in the back. I left the lights on for over 2 hours constantly the other night and still wernt dimming so has worked out a lot cheaper. Ill do a thread with a load of pics of the mods and how we set it up sometime, few little things to look out for if you buy a used one, feel free to contact me if you do look for one. :D

How about a pic of Claire, the gate opener then? She's gotta be better looking than you two and a no doubt essential part of the team!

Varminter, from the look of your pic, you should be holding a number. Talk about mean and moody. Bet you'll be getting lots of fan mail from all the ladies who like 'em tough!

Seriously though, well done lads, nice thread. Look forward to more about the Argocat.

Actually this one might be for sale shortly, need extra room for tools and kit as I use it for work also, been offered a good deal on an 8 wheeler today, they are not as quick, or as manouverable, but I need the space. Once I put the wheelchair in the back there isnt much room for anything else. this one has just had a new set of specialist argo tyres (made by goodyear)cost over £300. another £300 worth of new drive chains and a couple of axle bearings, and a 50gal per hour bilge pump incase you take on water whilst swimming, together with the extra spotlights, and an engine upgrade from 16hp to 18hp 570cc v twin briggs and stratton. May even leave the double rifle rack and passenger gun yoke on for the right price! If anyones interested let me know.

I'll see what we can do on the next outing, perhaps we'll have another gate opener called Claire though, as we both have Mrs' called Claire by some weird coincidence. (Mine was 1st by the way!)

And, the reason for my face was I that I was trying so hard not to laugh, I had to focus on something behind the camera to keep a (very) straight face!

Sidney you old dog, betraying the 6 wheeler, how could you even talk about leaving her??? Fair play though, 8 would be awesome!
