I don't recall anything on that subject but then there's a lot to take in at a show the size of RIAT!  It was the year Vulcan XH558 did her last ever shows not long before she was grounded.  She arrived in formation with the Red Arrows and treated us to some wonderful fly-pasts, complete with Vulcan Howl :):)

I think actually it was a training flight.  It was going round and round Teesside Airport, "Touch and goes" is my guess.  It was a very slow vehicle though, just seemed to hang in the sky.

Could be, I used to see it most times I was wildfowling on the Eden estuary, but I should have seen it either take off again unless it just did one or return for another.
