My wife thinks ,I am weird putting edges on faux bone handled butter knives, but they sharpen up really well as a lot of the canteen sets they came from were surgical stainless steel.

This blade has got to be around 80+ years old, the handle was missing and i had relegated it to the shed odds box collecting dust.

With a piece of antler and a bone spacer its now got a new life spreading butter on my toast.

My parents were given a full set of this bone handled cutlery ( just plain yellow/white ) as a wedding present back in the 1950’s. I still have several of them left, and they often pop up in charity shops. Far too good to scrap. 👍Nice job.

I'm well chuffed with it, much so i keep it on the work top so i can keep touching it LOL i could have used a piece of black buffalo horn spacer which i think could have finished it off just a bit better.
