Hi,

I've got a CZ 452 Style .22 LR on order, I chose this after having tried one that a friend has. I was very impressed with how well balanced it is, even with an SAK mod on the front of a 20" barrel, and how natural it is to point. He did advise that I avoid the 16" barrel because he had heard that they tend to burn out mods (not sure how true this anecdote is) and they do cost an extra £40.00 for 4" less length.

I've also ordered a CZ 527 Varmint Laminated stock .223 with T8 mod after having tried one of these as well.

ive got the 452 ,like the one in pic above, brill rifle.only problems i had with mine is,front swivel attachment fell out,and theres no thread left in hole to put it back(luckily caught the gun before it hit floor) ,and it can be fussy with ammo, winchesters stick in mine when fired, cci s work briliantly.wooden stock would get rid of problem with swivel mind.

They're not threaded at the factory, but the importers (Edgar Bros) send off batches of them for threading in this country. This adds £60 - £70 to the price. It's worth calling Edgar Bros and seeing if they've got the model you want threaded. If they haven't, then it's a 4 - 6 week wait.

I have a .22 in 20" style (and coincidently a 527 as well) if I was buying another one tomorrow I would go for the 16" version and i would be tempted by the ABS/Blue version. The nickel is fine but it can glint in the lamp so I have wrapped cammo tape round mine, I probably wouldn't have had to do that witht he blue version.

I worked out last night my 452 shot over 200 rounds on Sunday and didn't miss a beat, good, cheap and accurate rifles :good:
