Good afternoon folks I’m hoping some one can tell me how you would clean the barrel on a Greener gp martini action. I’ve read you should not remove the barrel very often so my question is can you somehow clean the barrel whilst it’s still attached. I’ve always removed my barrel on other guns for cleaning

any advice would be appreciated  Thanks in advance guys

Just take the barrel of by loosening the barrel clamping screw and unscrew the barrel. This is how I clean my nearly one hundred year old greener gp, but mine has a thumb screw release. Never done any harm as the barrel as the barrel has a locating lug.

You need the correct dismantling tool! An old copper British, pre decimal, 1d (one penny) piece. Now this may sound "daft" but there's a method in the madness. For by using a correct copper 1d (and not today's steel 2p coin) you cannot by accident overtighten the pin when reassembling the gun as the 1d, being copper, will bend if you do.
